i need a small business loan of about ,000 to get a restaurant and i was wondering if there is a government website i should go through for it. i know there is some programs to help people starting businesses and i need to know if it qualifies for taking over a currently open business to keep it from shutting down.
Where does it all go? Can you get a small business loan from the government? Can you use the money flowing into HUD? Who actually gets this money? Can it be proven?
My brother and I are very interested in buying a convienence store that is for sale locally. To buy the store and have some start up capital we would need around 0,000.00. I am curious as to know if it is going to be possible for us to attain a small business loan that would be guaranteed by the government. Here are a few details about our situation. My brother is 41, married with two children and his wife and him together make around 120,000.00 annually. Their credit is good, but not great. They have little to no cash/capital. I am 29 years old, married with two children, and no real income to speak of (full time student/little part time job making a hundred or two hundred bucks a week). My credit is average or worse than average (I co signed for an education loan for an ex g/f is the only thing that’s bad on my credit, but it’s there). I have up to ,000.00 cash/capital to work with if necessary. My brother has said that via heresay, he has heard it’s easy(easier) for a female to attain a business loan than a man (men), so we could get the loan in her name, possibly. That’s just one thing we’re kicking around. If it matters, we live in the state of Virginia. Can anyone tell me if it appears as though we have any chance of attaining the loan, if so, what is the best way to do so, and where to begin, and any tips to help along the way?
with the sub-letting lease. they think i will still have an interest in the cafe. i have asked my solicitor to ask my landlords sol; if it is ok for me to revoke my lease and give the new buyers a new one , seems like it is. but this will incur more cost to me. what is the problems with a sublet business, bar from the fact i could still be liable and not the buyers, for any cost incurred, there is 2years 10 months on the lease left to run. after that the landlord is willing to carry on the lease over to the buyers. i have even offered to pay for my fees, which i know is down to buyers, this was before all of this change. be a grand down. and their not even using a solicitor. they have paid a deposit, i advertised for quick sale, but this as been going on for 3 months, there even appling for a small business loan. via government/council.. after takink the deposit from them , am i in any way obligated to them. i did sign for it

Government would help small business formation and survival a lot better if it cut out a lot of regulations.
For example, someone thinking about selling a few plants potted from their garden at at flea market would have to get a landscaping license from the state to be legal, and the cost of that yearly license fee would probably exceed the revenues of a casual seller.
Can you imagine someone trying to start a food business in their kitchen like Mrs. Fields did? Regulations would mean the hurdle of a big start up cost.
Or if people tried to sell apples and cherries from trees in their yard they would probably be fined.
Can you imagine Bill Gates wanting a Small Business Loan at the stage when he was still working in his garage?
Small businesses do not need loans until they have actually taken off, and it does not help the entrepreneur to push unnecessary borrowing on him.
Small Business Administration Loans are not cheap either. Oddly enough, the government tries to push those loans on people whose houses have suffered a weather disaster to use that money to rebuild.
And it helps neither the entrepreneur or the economy for General Loan Committees of banks to lower their standards
Where and how is the best way to find the best,low interest,small business loan for women as a minority for working capital? I have exausted my savings.We have lots of business but commercial jobs take so long to pay and we need a good base of operating capital. We were 2 years old Aug this year. We have survived the critical first 2 years.Please help with any advice you can offer .We have a fifty/fifty partnership.Do I need to make myself a majority share owner to better qualify for women as a minority loan. President Obama said that he will have money available for people who own or want to start a small business. I have a revolutionary web based matchmaking business that even during tough times like these should make a lot of money and could be as huge as eBay or Google in a couple of short years. I just need a decent sized government grant(s) and/or a small business loan package to get it all started; but grants would be better than loans. Where do you go to get this small business government stimulus money Barack Obama is talking about?
I just don’t have any credit history and because of the economy I have no job at the present time (was laid off back in August ’08) and because I live in a small remote podunk town in southern Minnesota no jobs are available within 200 miles where I live. Around here you have to make your own opportunities.
